The single, lonely rose, growing by the window. Swaying in the breeze, from side to side she blows. Surrounded by naught but the wind, lonesome for another. She claws at the panes of glass, but even her thorns cannot help her.
The sun begins to set, and she shivers from retreating heat. Watching all the others, across the yard closing their petals. The wind blows harshly now, a few of her pink petals drift away. Then, from seemingly nowhere, a hand appears, ripping her apart from her stem and anguish.

Into the murky depths they threw him, his hearing faded and light grew dim. Around his ankles they had laced the chain, as he yelled and thrashed about in the pouring rain.
Into the murky depths he drifted down, his life flashing before his eyes as he knew he would drown. They had silenced his screaming with tape and gag, cuffed his hands and threw him into the river like a rag.
Into the murky depths the water pulled him down to the river bed, where he would lie for infinity whilst his soul walked with the dead.
